As a professional gravel and endurance mountain bike racer, staying healthy isn’t optional — it’s essential. Over the past year, I’ve worked with Dr. Greg and the Precision Osteopractic Physical Therapy team through a foot injury, knee pain, and chronic hip issues that could have easily sidelined my season. Instead, Team Precision has kept me riding strong!
When I first came in with the foot injury, I was worried about losing critical training time. Dr. Greg quickly assessed my symptoms, built a targeted rehab plan, and helped adjust my strength work and modify my training plan so I could continue training safely. I appreciated that the answer wasn’t just to stop training until the pain went away, but to use the types of training I could do with little to no pain, and then gradually increase the other types as my injury improved.
As my foot improved, we addressed lingering knee pain and long-standing hip dysfunction that had been quietly limiting my power and efficiency on the bike. Through individualized strength programming, movement analysis, and hands-on treatment, Dr. Greg helped me build stability, improve mobility, and correct imbalances that I didn’t even realize were holding me back. I also learned that both my hip and knee issues were exacerbated by my foot biomechanics (it’s all connected, right?). By focusing on building strength in my feet and making my feet a strong platform for movement, I saw improvements in my hip and knee pain.
